As part of a mission-oriented family that was involved in all aspects of Baptist church life, Mickey Lenamon has been involved with Texas Baptist Men since its formation in 1967 when his dad, Joe, was a founding member, and his mom, Tomi, led young girls in their church.

In March 2006 Mickey became a full-time employee of TBM as the Director of Resource Development in which he served until January 2008 when he added Associate Executive Director to his responsibilities. Mickey was named Executive Director of TBM in January 2016 and continues to serve in that capacity leading the vision and work of TBM’s various ministries.

Mickey spent a lot of time volunteering with and leading parts of TBM before becoming an employee. Mickey was actively involved as a volunteer as a Royal Ambassador State Staffer and Team Leader, as a TBM Young Men’s staffer assigned to Minnesota and Wisconsin, as a member of the TBM Finance Committee, and as Vice President for TBM Baptist Young Men.

Mickey grew up in Fort Worth, Texas, and attended Texas A&M University. After graduating, he worked in Texas and Arizona in the financial planning business sector.  He married Sallie in 1988 and they have two sons, Ryan and Parker.

His leadership and direction are evident in the impactful and expanding ministries of Texas Baptist Men as they seek to share the love of Christ with the world.

As a long-time donor and member of TBM's development staff since 2014, Roy appreciates "visiting folks in small towns and large towns to see TBM's mission in action." "I enjoy connecting with life groups and Sunday School classes, Woman's Missionary Union groups, and congregations who participate in the 18 ministries of TBM. There truly is something to bless volunteers at every age and stage."
