Journey down the San Marcos river and learn the fundamentals of river canoeing.  This trip is for young men and their leaders who would like to learn the basics of river canoeing. This trip will emphasize river canoeing skills that include basic trip preparation, understanding of river systems, portaging skills, river canoeing techniques, classification of rapids, river rescue skills, in addition to Christian growth and applications.

All food and equipment will be provided for the trip. A personal equipment list will be provided after registration. Participants will meet in San Marcos by 6:00 p.m. on June 18th. Wilderness Backpacking Trip – July 6-14, 2007

Cost $250.00 per person

Come and explore the wilderness and marvel at God’s creation. This trip is for young men and their leaders who would like to participate in a four-day backpacking trip in a remote wilderness location. Physical conditioning is highly advised in addition to some experience in backpacking and wilderness camping. This trip will emphasize the basics of backpacking including logistics, health and safety, risk management, land/water hazards, accidents, ecology, navigation, trail behavior, in addition to Christian growth and applications.

All food and transportation will be provided for the trip. A specialized equipment list for this trip will be provided after registration and each participant will need to secure the minimal required equipment listed.
