Church Renewal Today is God’s Way of Reviving and Renewing His Church

 

Church Renewal is:
God’s work [Our Mission] done
God’s Way [Our Model] for
God’s Glory [Our Motive]

 

Think about your church.  Think about the spiritual condition of your church.  Think about this quote from Oswald Sanders.  “Spiritual ends can only be achieved by spiritual men who employ spiritual methods.”

 

What type of spiritual process is your church currently involved in to bring about spiritual renewal to God’s people?  What is your church doing intentionally to revive and renew God’s people?

 

The church renewal journey today is designed to motivate God’s church to truly get serious about spiritual and numerical growth through their personal love relationship with Jesus Christ. 

 

If you think about it, missions involvement, evangelism, church planning, all ministries are by-products of the spiritual process that is needed in the lives of God’s people.  All the activity flows out of the love relationship with God.  This is God’s way!

 

All church renewal weekends would best be described as a “pew to pew” experience.  It’s lay people sharing with lay people the reality of Jesus Christ from their own personal encounter with Christ and out of living the Christian life.  Actually, we could describe any church renewal weekend as being first century Christianity lived out today.

 

Every weekend is what we could call purpose driven.  It has a focus and a follow-up and certainly furthers the cause of Christ in every local church. 

 

The initial church renewal weekend is what we might call an awakening weekend or a wake-up call.  It meets people spiritually wherever they are and helps them refocus on their initial love relationship with Jesus Christ and how to maintain it.

 

The Experiencing God Weekend:  “Knowing and Doing The Will of God” helps the church understand how they are to function in that love relationship with Jesus Christ.  We teach the seven realities that come out of the study of Experiencing God.

 

The second weekend is entitled Your Church Experiencing God Together: “God’s Plan to Touch Your World.”  This weekend provides basic teaching to help all of God’s people understand the following subjects: 

•      Your church and the heart of God.
•      Your church is a body of Christ.
•      Your church empowered by the Holy Spirit.
•      Your church on mission with God.

 

The Called and Accountable weekend:  “Discovering Your Place In God’s Eternal Purpose”, presents spiritual truth around a core message.  We are all called by God, chosen for God, and are accountable to God.  The church is confronted with a fresh awareness that God’s call is universal to every believer and every believer is accountable to understand and respond to God’s call.
