The mission of Texas Baptist Men is to assist Texas Baptist Churches as they lead men into a "Love" relationship with Jesus Christ that will thrust them and their families into a lifestyle of missions and ministry that fulfills the Great Commission.
Leadership Training Camp plays a role in fulfilling the above mission statement by providing men and young men with a training environment where they will be challenged:
- To grow to have a “Love” relationship with Christ and to be “On Mission with God”
- To learn camping and outdoor skills for personal growth and development
- To learn how to apply skills learned to lead and improve their church and association’s Royal Ambassador and Challenger programs, to plan and help lead RA camps, and to work confidently in outdoor missions settings
- To apply knowledge gained to the ministry and mission opportunities they encounter in their walk with God
LTC utilizes a progressive method of learning the basic, intermediate, and advanced levels of campcraft and activity skills in order to live outdoors safely and comfortably. All men and young men who have completed the seventh grade through senior men, including Royal Ambassador and Challenger adult leadership (male), are eligible to attend. The camp facility is not conducive to a coed camping experience. All visitors need to report to camp leadership upon arrival at LTC.
The camp cost is $100.00 with a $30.00 non-refundable deposit with the application and medical information forms. Pre-registration is required of everyone. Regional State Staffer trainees do not need to send a deposit but must complete both the application and medical information forms.
