Al’s truck is a big one. It is an over-the-road Volvo that has been converted into a recreational vehicle. Al and Darlene use it to pull disaster relief units on callouts and to live in while they are out. They are proud of their big white truck and refer to it affectionately as ‘Hope’. Read more

The first week of April 2008, a tornado went through the Glen Rose, Texas area and caused major damage in the little community of Nemo, Texas. The New Prospect Baptist Church was hit and two portable classroom buildings were destroyed.

Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief State Unit deployed Sunday, June 15, 2008 to Cedars Rapids, Iowa. They were joined by Top of Texas Feeding Unit along with the Shower/Laundry Unit from Lamesa. A total of 68 men and women were deployed with the units. They will be housed at Immanuel Baptist Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Please pray for their safety. Read more

Working with Healthcare Outreach Network, United Missionary Services, Inc., of Houston, TBM helped coordinate the shipment of a refurbished ambulance with four wheel drive to Biblical Baptist Church Minitires New Colony, Bhadravati , Karntaka, India located in the southern region of the country, northwest of Bangalore. April 27, 2008 marked a joyous day in Haepo, North Korea. Much needed medical supplies arrived for their new health clinic. Texas Baptist Men and Healthcare Outreach Network worked with Ron Springs, President of Global Resources Services started by John LaNoue after his visit to North Korea in 1998 to provide the much need medical supplies.
